What do the plans include?

Is the free trial really free?
Yes. 14 days, no credit card required to start. The trial includes 5 prompts across all 5 surfaces — enough to see whether Brandswarm is useful for you. Your trial doesn't auto-convert to paid; you have to actively choose a plan and enter card details to be charged.
When am I charged?
On the day you click "Upgrade" and complete Stripe Checkout. There's no charge during the trial, and we don't auto-charge when the trial ends — your account just becomes read-only until you upgrade.
How do I upgrade?
Inside the app: Settings → Billing → Upgrade. Pick monthly or annual, pick a tier, and you'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout. After payment you're back on the dashboard with the new plan active.
Can I downgrade?
Yes, any time, from the same Settings → Billing page. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period — we don't refund the unused portion. If you downgrade from Growth to Starter and have more prompts than Starter allows, the excess prompts go into read-only mode until you delete some or upgrade back.
How do I cancel?
Settings → Billing → "Cancel my subscription". One click. No retention scripts, no "are you sure" loops. Your access continues until the end of your paid period. After that, the account stays in read-only mode for 90 days (so you can come back and reactivate without losing data), then is deleted.
Refunds?
Yes — within 14 days of payment, no questions asked. Email [email protected] with your account email.
Invoices and receipts
Every charge gets a Stripe receipt emailed automatically. For company-formatted invoices (VAT/EIN/PO number), reply to the receipt with what you need — we issue revised invoices same-day.
Tax
Stripe handles sales tax automatically based on your billing address — VAT for EU, GST for AU/IN, US state sales tax where applicable. Tax appears on your receipt; the displayed plan prices ($49/$149/$399) are pre-tax.
